At an impressive average 6 inches, Hasbro’s infinitely popular line of STAR WARS: The Black Series of action figures have added an entirely new dimension of play and collectibility for fans and enthusiasts of adventures set a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. The line of highly-detailed, incredibly accessorized, and multi-articulated figures stand apart from their predecessors, even though the standard 3 ¾ line is still available and very popular. With the STAR WARS franchise consistently evolving, Hasbro has endeavored to keep collectors on their toes!
Following the success of the Disney+ Original Series, STAR WARS: Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson in the current iteration of the heroine that was first introduced in the animated series The Clone Wars, the live-action adventure has brought together many of the saga’s most popular characters, and captured their likeliness for The Black Series line of figures. Fortunately, for fans, there is far more to explore in the limitless reaches of the STAR WARS universe, even with the next proposed trilogy of films still largely in pre-production, there is the era of “The Old Republic”.
In George Lucas’ galaxy, the stars are as old as time itself, and the war between good and evil, the Dark Side, and the Light Side of The Force itself has a complicated and lengthy history. Predating The High Republic, a renaissance of the Jedi Order comparatively 500 years before the consequential events of the “Battle of Yavin” there was a much more turbulent epoch categorized as The Old Republic, which is set 1,000 years before Episode IV: A New Hope. It is an era much maligned by the machinations of The Sith Order, a sect dedicated to corruption and chaos and wielders of The Dark Side of The Force.
